App privacy policy

Last updated October 16, 2026. This covers the Bookhand app, including when you connect it to QuickBooks Online. For the website and early-access list, see the website privacy page.

What Bookhand can see

When you connect QuickBooks, Intuit asks you to allow Bookhand to access your company. Bookhand can then read and add to that company's records, such as customers, suppliers, invoices, bills, expenses, payments, accounts, tax settings and reports. It only adds or changes a record after you press the button on a confirm card.

Bookhand also handles what you type into the chat and any receipts, bills or invoices you drop in.

What Bookhand cannot do

Bookhand records money in your books. It never takes, sends or moves money, and it cannot see your bank login.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time with the Disconnect button in Bookhand, or in QuickBooks under your connected apps. Disconnecting does not delete anything already saved in QuickBooks.
